THE WORK
Intent Specification Language (ISL) is a research concept for human-readable, machine-checkable software contracts describing required behavior, prohibitions, tests, and evidence.
ISL would describe the intended contract, while AIEI evaluates engineering evidence. The name is provisional. A stable grammar, formal semantics, compiler, verifier, and production toolchain have not been implemented or demonstrated.
