THE WORK
Merit (formerly AIEI) is an open-source engineering-integrity toolkit for recording work contracts, checking review evidence, confronting missing negative cases, and preserving human release authority.
The independent repository contains a Node.js CLI with bounded contract and receipt validation, deterministic tests, and a read-only GitHub evidence inspector. It has not independently certified production code or automated approval. Existing AIEI command and JSON interfaces remain unchanged during the rename.
